Nikos Chatzi participates in the group art exhibition: “ART as an EXPERIENCE: Exploring the STORIES behind the WORKS”

The ArteVisione gallery presents the group art exhibition: “ART as an EXPERIENCE: Exploring the STORIES behind the WORKS”, curated by the Art Historian EKPA, MA Journalist and member of AICA Greece, Nikolena Kalaitzakis-Zouni.

The curator of the exhibition notes: “Art, in all its forms, can be a mirror of thoughts and feelings, giving them form through image or music”

Carl Jung

In the group visual exhibition: “ART as an EXPERIENCE: Exploring the STORIES behind the WORKS”, each work also tells a separate personal story. A “story” connected to a special “life experience” of its creator, which he wishes to share with us.

Art, throughout time, is a “precious tool” for man, with which he manages to “freely” express his thoughts and feelings and communicate them to others. Engaging with the inventive, challenging and self-discovery process of artistic creation provides the individual with a multitude of benefits that include, among other things, improving and strengthening their physical, mental and emotional well-being. The individual, through Art, visualizes his ideas, his deepest desires and needs, as well as his experiences, externalizing his mental and psycho-emotional states, in a way: either conscious or unconscious.

The psychotherapeutic quality of Art has often been recognized by experts, who argue that artistic expression, through the creative process, has a helpful role for individuals, given that it contributes catalytically: to the management and resolution of their internal mental conflicts, tensions and emotional difficulties , in the reduction of anxiety and depressive symptoms, in the cultivation of their interpersonal skills, in the release of their imagination, in the increase and stimulation of their self-confidence and self-esteem. Art acts “healing”, as well as “diagnostic” in the field of relationships and the family, in matters of abuse, domestic violence and social exclusion, loss, mental trauma, illness and post-traumatic stress.
